A close relative of both the vodka-cranberry Cape Codder and Sea Breeze—in fact, likely created in the same midcentury marketing push by Ocean Spray and the Cranberry Growers Association—this vodka cocktail (although some will tell you it can also be made with coconut-flavored rum) achieved peak popularity in the 1980s and remains a summer staple nearly a half-century later.
